Hello, March

It's hard to believe that its already March. It seemed like Christmas was only a few weeks ago. I've been busy with work and must be having fun, since you know what they say...time flies when you're having fun. :)
When March arrives, I realize that my birthday is just around the corner. I used to worry about growing older, especially after I hit the 40 mark. But now, its not so gloomy. I'm happy, healthy and enjoy my life so bring it on! My family is planning a little party for me on Friday night to include eats, drinks and playing our favorite game: rock band. I'm looking forward to this celebration especially since I am out of town for work this week. Maybe I'll make it a long weekend by taking an extra day off.

I'm a grandma!

What a joyful day! My daughter had her baby on October 23 at 3:53 p.m. Phoenix Nevaeh has arrived! I hope you enjoy the pictures! I'm very thankful for this new chapter opening in my life. I still don't feel that I look like a grandma, but I'm happy to be one.

I am grateful that I can take a few days off work to be with my daughter and her beautiful angel. My most recent business trip has been put on hold. That is a relief! I'll be home for at least a week until I have to go out of town again. Life is good!

Celebrating 5 years of marriage

On this day, five years ago my sweetheart and I drove to Gatlinburg, TN and exchanged wedding vows in a small chapel. It was a wonderful day that I'll never forget. I remember we did have a few issues before the ceremony. We were almost late to the chapel due to rain and traffic on the way through Knoxville. There was a UT football game that day and the traffic was crazy. Also after driving for almost 2 hours, we realized we left one of our suitcases at home. Inside this bag was my husband's dress shoes, belt and clothes for the rest of the weekend. So, we got married with him wearing tennis shoes and no belt. It's a fun memory to recall but at the time it was no laughing matter.

It's been a wonderful 5 years and I'm looking forward to many more years of happiness with my special guy. Here are a few more photo's of us enjoying life together.
